Whips, chains, a “den of iniquity” name Hippolyte!
I was never a fan of BDSM—hardcore, soft-core—and after reading this book I am still not a fan. That is not to say this story wasn’t a very good one. The story of L by Debra Hyde is a well crafted piece of art that delves into the undertones of the BDSM world. It shows, even in these dens of raw sexual energies, there can lurk an appreciation for those around you and what you are. A couple of the secondary characters I could have done without but the main characters are in your face real.
Let’s face it; if you are squeamish and easily offended, this story is not for you. But if you want to explore raw sexuality, eroticism that I haven’t seen in a long time in lesbian erotica—then by all means, The Story of L by Debra Hyde is the perfect solution.
