Kieran is a hundred-and-twenty-year-old immortal, originally hailing from the harsh, famine-stricken life of 1880s Ireland. He has surpassed death and thrived, gaining wealth, power and knowledge. Azrael is the angel of death, but his mission is far from ominous. He is the protector of the grief-stricken, and the champion of lost souls. The two are polar opposites in mission and nature, yet are inexplicably drawn to one another.
The Supreme One sees all, and when he discovers the truth about the relationship he is enraged. Their commitment to be together must be stronger than his determination to keep them apart.
How would you feel? Would you embrace it or would you fight to have your former life back? That’s what is “offered” to Kieran, a vampire who never thought about changing his life. He’s quite happy with what’s been given to him and enjoy the life is living.Azrael is an angel, or what we call an angel. He falls in love with Kieran, who responds to his love to his surprise. And God or the Supreme One as they call him is not happy with it. He will do everything in its power to set them apart, and it include sending Kieran back in the past, to live the life he could have live if he didn’t become a vampire. Will Kieran love for Azrael be strong enough to resist the days, years without him? Will a vampire be able to love that much? This is a story of love bigger than life.
Before you read this book, forget about everything you know about vampires. Or at least, everything we see nowadays on television. No romantic vampires here, but ones that don’t hesitate to kill without any remorse or guilt. And where God is not what he’s supposed to be. I must admit that I wasn’t thrill when I began to read it. Then, without knowing it, I got so caught up on the story that I couldn’t put the book down.If you were given the chances (or the curse) to live a life you could have lived…Another time……
Another dimension…what would you do?
